-
- Current construction status and anticipated start date.
-

2. Submit Plans and Supporting Documents
Provide a complete, legible PDF plan set and applicable supporting documents, which may include:
-

-
- Energy compliance documentation.
-
- Engineering details, specifications, and supporting reports.
-
- Existing permit comments or previously issued review reports.
Documents requiring a registered design professional’s seal must be submitted with the appropriate seal and signature.
3. Confirm Scope and Jurisdiction Requirements
Before services begin, we will confirm the requested plan review and inspection scope, applicable code editions and local amendments, reporting requirements, and anticipated inspection phases.
When services are intended to satisfy permitting requirements, acceptance of our third-party services must be confirmed with the permitting jurisdiction which may include the County Fire Marshal’s office or County Development Services Office. Permit issuance and authorization to occupy remain subject to that jurisdiction’s requirements, and all County, States and Federal Laws and Regulations.
4. Approve Services and Submit Payment
A written proposal or service agreement will identify the scope, fees, anticipated turnaround, and applicable terms.
Payment for anticipated services must be received before plan review and the initial inspection begin.
Additional reviews, revised plans, return trips, re-inspections, or services outside the agreed scope may require additional fees.
5. Complete Plan Review
Submitted documents will be reviewed within the agreed scope. Any identified deficiencies or requests for clarification will be provided in a written review report.
The project team is responsible for coordinating corrections and submitting revised documents. Keep the accepted plans, review comments, and supporting documents available at the jobsite or digitally available to our staff.
Plan review does not replace required design or engineering services.
6. Coordinate Inspections
The inspection schedule will be established according to the project scope and jurisdiction requirements. Inspections may include:
-
- Temporary electrical service and underground utilities.
-
- Foundation and pre-pour.
-
- Framing, structural connections, and rough mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
-
- Insulation and energy compliance.
-
- Trade finals and building final.
Request inspections before work is concealed or concrete is placed. Provide safe access, the site contact’s information, and confirmation that the work is ready. Appointments are subject to availability and confirmation.
7. Address Findings and Complete Closeout
Inspection reports will document observed conditions and identified deficiencies within the agreed scope. The responsible contractor must complete corrections and coordinate any required reinspection before proceeding with affected work.
At closeout, provide outstanding test results, certifications, engineering letters, and other required documentation. Final inspection reporting will reflect the status of the contracted services and any unresolved items.
To get started, send your project information and available plans so we can prepare your service proposal.
